Congratulations to Lane Davis, the December Student of the Month. Lane is the son of Tommy and Tammy Davis.
The first semester will end on Friday, December 20, 2013. School will be back in session on Monday, January 6, 2014. Report cards will be ready to download from PowerSchool on January 8, 2014. If you do not have access to PowerSchool, please have your child stop by the office and we will print a copy for you.
Just a reminder that we will be collecting 6 pictures from every senior for the graduation slideshow. I will have more information regarding those pictures in the February newsletter.
We also are looking for group pictures for the Class of 2014. If you have pictures from prek time to current, please send them to the office. Please place the pictures in a zip lock bag with your name. We will scan and return them.

Middle School Principal
Congratulations to the 7th grade girls’ basketball team on
advancing to the state tournament. They
lost 25-24 to Champaign St. Matthew in a very tightly contested game. They enjoyed a very successful season and the
girls should be congratulated on this accomplishment. The boys are continuing to play basketball
and the girl’s volleyball season will start soon. We are hosting the 7th grade boys’
basketball regional starting January 25th. Come out and support our student athletes.
Second quarter report cards will be distributed on Friday, January 10. We are halfway through the academic calendar. Remind your child to continue to do their homework every night. Grades are determined on a yearly average in the middle school. Just because a student passed the first two quarters does not guarantee that they will pass for the year. Every student must pass math, English, language arts, and at least one of the following two courses: science or history.
DATES TO REMEMBER
January 6 – School Resumes
January 17 – 11:30 Dismissal – School Improvement Day
January 20 – No School – Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday
