Unity High School Principal
The Mendon Lions Club Student of the Month for November was Camber Flick. She is the daughter of Cathy Flick.
The High School had 88 parents attend the Parent/Teacher Conferences on October 23-24. Thanks to the parents who attended the conferences.
Congratulations to the Unity FFA Chapter for winning the State Food Science CDE. The team placed 1st, on the team was Kayla Gronewold (who individually placed 2nd), Laurie Gronewold (4th), Camron Cornwell (11th), & Adam Donley (14th). They will now advance to the National competition which will be next October in Louisville, Kentucky.

Congratulations to the JV Volleyball Team as the South Conference Champions! Congratulations to all the Athletes!
The West Central Conference Choir/Band Festival was held at Macomb on November 11, 2014. The following students took part in the festival: Camber Flick, Brianne Shaffer, Hallie McKenna, Kayden Miller, and Gabe Corrigan.
The winter sports season has begun, please be sure and support both the Lady Mustangs and the Mustangs.
The Varsity Girls Basketball Tournament will be held December 8-13, a bracket can be found on the web site ([email protected]).
The Unit 4 Christmas Concert will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2014, beginning at 7:00 pm in the High School Cafeteria.
The MVIT Tournament will be held December 27, 29 and 30. We are looking forward to an excellent tournament again this year. The Hall of Fame Induction will be at 7:00 pm on December 27, 2014. A bracket can be found on the web site ([email protected]).

Final Exam Informtion

DECEMBER NEWS
The HS/MS sponsored a Veteran’s Day assembly on Monday, November 10. Over 60 veterans were in attendance. Several student groups performed during the assembly. Over $500 was raised to support the Illinois Veteran’s Home in Quincy.
We only have 3 weeks of school left before Christmas Break and the end of 2nd quarter. Please remind your students to keep up on their studies. 7th and 8th grade students will be taking their end of chapter/unit exam on December 17 or 18. A schedule will be developed with the teachers so students will not be taking more than 3 exams on either day. Students are reminded that they must be passing both English and math in order to move on to the next grade.
As part of their Christmas celebration, the MS students will have a bowling and movie day. The 5th & 6th graders will be going to Quincy for bowling on December 18. The 7th and 8th graders will go to Quincy for bowling on December 19.
